Allestec manufactures industrial gas/fire control panels that are utilized throughout the world. Allestec also manufactures at a reduced capacity, Edison industrial temperature monitors. A significant amount of our industrial control panels are installed in turbine cogeneration power plants. The majority of the power plants with our equipment are shipped abroad where the power demand is the greatest. Other special hazard applications include but not limited to aircraft hangars, coal fired power plants, offshore rigs, petroleum pumping stations, etc.

The History of Allestec

Allestec was incorporated and was originally a custom electronic engineering service company for special hazard industrial applications. Customer driven ideas eventually led Allestec to develop its own product lines.

The first distributor to sign up for Allestec is a long term company based in Houston. The company is called Allesco and is excelled by an experienced executive named Gary Cauble.

Allestec developed fire alarm annunciators for an optical fire detector line manufactured by Armtec Industries. Allestec later signed an agreement with Armtec to repair their line of Edison Omniguard flame switchers, optical fire detectors, and temperature monitors. Armtec, a New Hampshire company, was previously called McGraw Edison. Eventually Armtec had a name change to Meggitt Avionics, now currently bought out by Vibrometer. Allestec currently remains the sole authorized repair center for their out of warranty products.

An enhanced, more sensitive amplifier was designed to connect to the Edison scanner. This product allows scanners to be utilized in sulphur recovery plants where most of the UV radiation is absorbed.

The modular 800 gas/fire panel was introduced to serve the turbine cogeneration sector. The model 800 has accumulated more modules as customer requirements changed. This unit accepts inputs from optical detectors, 4-wire smoke detectors, and gas transmitters with 4-20mA output. There are thousands of these panels in service throughout the world and it is a mature product.

Edison temperature monitor line manufactured by Meggitt Avionics was procured by Allestec and the series 4400 monitors are still in production. The monitors are sold with the Omniguard name which is a registered trade name by Armtec.

Allestec received authorization to utilize the Edison name for a newly developed replacement temperature monitor we designed. The series 1600 is a 16-point RTD temperature monitor that is addressable and is currently in production.

An addressable touch screen gas/fire control panel is designed for industrial applications. This product allows more flexibility since the infrastructure has tremendous capabilities. The FG8800 will be a long term product with many newly introduced features.

Allestec signed an agreement with Spectrex to become their authorized repair center for their optical detectors. Spectrex manufactures quality gas and optical fire detectors and are sold throughout the world. Customers can purchase Spectrex detectors from Allestec.
